Small Days

How do we hold on to the moments we have with our small children? The time goes so slowly and yet lightning speed. As we look back on our own lives, we see with clarity how fast life flies by. What keeps you present? Engaged? These little eyes, ears, and noses will soon grow into adults, and every moment is to be cherished.

I recently heard in a podcast, a guest referencing advice he received as a parent that he never forgot. It was something along the lines of - whenever you are impatient or not enjoying the moment with your child, picture yourself at 80 years old, and imagine this moment, the one with you and your little one that you can never return to.
